What it Was
The Monthly Challenge was a self-improvement social website designed help people attempt to try new things and accomplish a new goal every month. It has been inactive for quite some time, but it remains open and usable.
What I Did
I came up with the idea for the site and built it on top of a Drupal installation.
This beauty of this site is in the concept and the real-world effects it had, since as a web site, it was relatively simple.
Why You Should Care
The Monthly Challenge was created to force me outside of my comfort zone. My personal challenges on the site consisted of many failures, but I believe that is one of the reasons why it was so successful.
Some of my friends (and even some strangers) have followed my lead and are trying their own versions of The Monthly Challenge.
