Disneyland Annual Passes (2006-2007)
What it Was
Disneyland Park offers Annual Passes which give guests year-round park entrance and benefits. However, the Disneyland website did not offer anything special to Annual Passholders until this project came and added online pass renewal, special offers, a hotel availability calendar, and more.
What I Did
I created a highly dynamic front-end, customizable widgets and a totally new layout and look for the Disneyland website. The site was designed to be skinnable, allowing the look and feel to be updated for holidays or new promotions.
I also wrote the online pass renewal, which allowed guests to renew their own pass (or a family member's pass) online.
Why You Should Care
The online pass renewal had to gather data from multiple systems to authenticate users and to process orders. After its release, it became a big commerce driver for the website.
Reskinning the site is also incredibly easy and usually takes less than half-a-day, which is a fraction of the time it would take to reskin the main Disneyland website.
